The true Canadian canoe — handcrafted in Canada
In the workshop in London, Ontario, all Nova Craft canoes are built. The laminated models are carefully handcrafted and stand for light weight, elegance, and precise handling.
The SP3-PE canoes are also produced on site using rotational molding and impress with their durability and everyday practicality.
The Prospector — the all-rounder and Nova Craft’s flagship
The Prospector remains Nova Craft’s bestseller to this day: stable, versatile, and easy to paddle. Ideal for beginners and families, yet equally well suited for longer trips and adventures on rivers (up to light whitewater) and on lakes.
The Chestnut Canoe Company shaped the classic Canadian canoe from the 19th century onward and developed the Prospector — a hull design that is still regarded today as the benchmark for versatile touring canoes.
Nova Craft has carried on this tradition with modern materials for over 50 years. The Prospector is available in two classes and a total of five materials.

We import directly from Canada to our shop in the heart of Europe
Our Nova Craft canoes are imported directly from Canada. Transport takes place by truck to Toronto, by rail to Montréal, and from there by ship via Québec, across the North Atlantic and the English Channel to Hamburg. After EU import clearance in Hamburg, the boats reach our warehouse in Southern Baden by truck.
Thanks to our central location at the tri-border area of Germany, France, and Switzerland, we are an efficient logistics partner for retailers and private customers across Europe. Our warehouse is just 2 minutes from the A5 motorway.
Wildsport — paddling with passion since 1989
Wildsport has stood for professional and responsible watersports for almost 40 years. What began in 1989 as a small specialist shop and a canoe school in the black forest region has, over the decades, grown into an established canoe provider in Southwest Germany. Under the name Wildsport Tours, we are firmly rooted in the region and stand for experience, practical expertise, and respect for nature and water.
We are canoe guides and ACA-certified canoe instructors by conviction. Our work is based on many years of experience on a wide variety of rivers — from gentle waters to more challenging sections. This knowledge shapes our courses, tours, and our well-founded advice.
Furthermore, we have extensive expertise in the maintenance and repair of Canadian canoes. We do not see boats as mass-produced goods, but as reliable tools that must be durable and functional. For this reason, we have been using Nova Craft canoes for many years in our rentals and courses under real-world conditions.
Building on this experience, we now import Nova Craft canoes ourselves and offer them as high-quality Canadian canoes for ambitious paddlers, clubs, and outfitters — with the same standards that have defined Wildsport since 1989: honest advice, practical expertise, and boats you can rely on.
